About the Short

Going up is a short film written by Todd Wells. He approached us with the script after Leo and Molly helped with Strange Creatures and he saw how the crew ran while filming First Anniversary.

At first Todd wanted to use a real elevator. After seeing how working with the fire department to shut down an elevator to film works , , , , we decided to build our own. Michael O'Malley spear headed designing the elevator to make sure it looked the part but was still functional for filming purposes. The set is actually two pieces so we could move the walls to get better angles of our actors.
